Required Documents for Schengen Visa C: Tourism (Maximum 90 Days)

Submission Location:

Submit the Schengen visa application at TLScontact

Documents to Submit in Order (Do not staple):

  1. Visa Application:

    • Duly completed (in German, French, Italian, or English) with a blue or black pen.

    • Personally signed in the designated box.

    • If fingerprints are already stored in the Schengen System, an authorized person with a dated and signed letter may submit the application.

  2. Valid Passport:

    • Issued within the last 10 years.

    • Minimum of 2 empty pages.

    • Valid for at least 3 months after leaving the Schengen Area.

    • Copies of passport (pages 2-3) and previous visas with entry/exit stamps.

  3. Non-Turkish Nationals:

    • Proof of residence in Turkey, valid for three months beyond the intended departure date from the Member States.

  4. Recent Biometric Passport Picture:

    • 1 passport picture (not older than 6 months).

  5. Statement of Family Register:

    • Entire family (Tam Tekmil Vukuatlı Nüfus Kayıt Örneği).

  6. Accident and Health Insurance (Original and Copy):

    • Signed and stamped.

    • Minimum coverage of €30,000 / $50,000 / CHF 50,000.

    • Valid for all Schengen countries for the duration of the intended stay.

    • Must cover costs of repatriation for medical reasons, emergency medical care, and/or emergency hospitalization.

  7. Travel Arrangements:

    • Flight reservation (roundtrip).

    • If traveling by bus: reservation of bus ticket.

    • If traveling by car: driver's license and "green card / Triptik" from Turkish Touring Club.

  8. Hotel Reservation and Travel Itinerary:

    • Current bank statement of the last 3 months, proving source of regular income, with a bank stamp and signature.

    • Salary proof for the last 3 months.

  10. Employer and Employee Documentation:

    • Original Employment Certificate on company letterhead (dated and signed) including:

      • Personal details, passport number, start date of employment, and function.

      • Purpose and duration of stay, length of leave, and whether it is paid or unpaid leave.

    • Additional documentation:

      • Copy of company register extract from the Chamber of Commerce (Faaliyet Belgesi), not older than 6 months.

      • Copy of signature circular of authorized signatory.

      • Copy of statement of trade paper.

      • Copy of current tax table.

      • SGK-Entrance (SGK işe giriş bildirgesi) and SGK-History (SGK tescil ve hizmet dökümü) of the employee, both with a readable QR code.

  11. Additional Requirements Based on Status:

    • Lawyer: Admission documentation from the Bar Association (Baro kaydı).

    • Farmer/Agriculturist: Proof of certification issued by the Chamber of Agriculture.

    • Retirees: Proof of retirement with bank statement confirming retirement salary.

    • School Students: Confirmation of school stamped and signed.

    • University Students: Student certificate from the Higher Education Council of Turkey (YÖK) with a readable QR code.

  12. For Minors Traveling Alone:

    • Current notarial declaration of consent from the legal representative (muvafakatname), original and copy (original will be returned).

    • Legal representative documentation: divorce decree with child custody or death certificate.

  13. For Minors Traveling with One Parent or Accompanying Person:

    • Current notarial declaration of consent from the legal representative (muvafakatname), original and copy (original will be returned).

    • Legal representative documentation: divorce decree with child custody or death certificate.

    • Accompanying person: valid passport and valid Schengen visa.

  14. Visa Fee:

    • Payment: Only in Turkish currency and cash.

      • Adult: €90.

      • Child (6-12 years): €45.

      • Child (0-6 years): Free.

      • Visa fees for spouses of Swiss or EU/Schengen citizens are free of charge.

Step-by-Step Guide to the Application Process

Step 1: Register on TLScontact Website

In order to begin your visa application procedure, please first register on the TLScontact Turkey website. All you need is an email address and a few seconds to create a TLScontact account.

Step 2: Prepare all required documents according to your customized list

After registration and completion of our questionnaire, you will receive a personalized set of required documents. Organize your documents in the manner indicated on your list.

Step 3: Make an appointment online and print your notification

Select a convenient time for you to come to the TLScontact center to submit your organized documents. Don’t forget to print out your notification. It states all necessary visa-related information for your circumstances. You will also need to show your notification at the TLScontact center. Be aware that if you don’t attend your appointment, all your personal information will be deleted later that day. To make a new appointment, you will have to re-register.

Step 4: Come to the TLScontact center

Please note that your visa applications should be submitted in person to our Visa Application Center unless you are under an exemption case.

Please arrive on time for your scheduled appointment with the appointment notification receipt and the application’s required documents.

Step 5: Submit your application

An experienced agent will check all your documents and ask you a series of questions, as requested by the Consulate General of Switzerland in Istanbul. You can then confirm with the agent your desire to send all your application materials to the Consulate’s visa section, to complete documentation later, or to withdraw your documentation.

Both the visa and service fee are to be paid at the cashiers at TLScontact center.

Step 6: Track your application

You can track your application at any time by visiting your personal account on this website.

Step 7: Pick up your passport

When your passport is ready to be collected, you will receive an e-mail notifying you that your passport is ready for pick up at the TLScontact center. Please arrive with your visa application checklist and the original and a copy of your identity card ready.

If you wish to designate a representative to come in your stead, please make sure that they bring the following documents.

Processing Time

Please be aware that late submission of a visa application below 15 days before departure may lead to the refusal of the visa. So please make sure to apply 15 days before your departure.
