Submit Application

Visa applicants must come in person, by appointment (1 applicant per appointment) to submit their application at the consular services.

All visa applicants are required to present themselves in person at the time of application. The following biometrics are collected at this time: a photograph which you must provide, scanned at the time of application, and 10 fingerprints.

Children under 12 years of age are exempt from fingerprinting. The application must be presented by one of the child's parents or by the person with parental authority, but the child must be present at the time of filing. The child's ISO/IEC (pdf) up to date and recognisable photograph will then be scanned.

Collecting your passport

Passport collection cannot be made in person anymore. Each applicant must bring an 9,50€-stamped envelope on the day of the application, it must bear your correct name and address.  Note that in case of rejection, the Embassy will not be in a position to return passports by post: the applicant will have to come in person to collect the passport.

Timeframe for appointments

You can apply for a visa up to 180 days before your departure date. We recommend that you apply at least 20 working days before your departure.

Once a complete application is submitted in person at the Embassy, the processing time of your file takes about 10 to 15 working days before the visa is issued, however delays can occur due to the process of further cross-checking, periods of high demand and also because of technical problems.

To avoid any inconvenience for yourself, we strongly recommend that you make an appointment well in advance of your proposed trip. Visa applications can be submitted for up to 6 months before the travel departure date. Applicants are advised to give themselves plenty of time in order to complete the process of appointment and secure the issuance of a visa, in order to avoid the disappointment of being unable to travel.
